Colony Carers and Volunteers Needed

There are many kind and compassionate people around Australia who are helping to end the suffering of timid stray cats. Without their support, these otherwise forgotten cats would face a very grim and uncertain future.

The people are animal heroes – they not only actively reduce the populations of stray cats through humane ‘desex and return’ programs but provide them with food, fresh water and veterinary care. It can be as little as 10 min a day, but the outcome is incredible.

This page has been created to network volunteers who could help with the care of a cat colony. Depending on your interests, this may mean assisting with trapping, transportation, or simply adding your name to a feeding roster. If you have only 20 min to spare a fortnight, that would be more than enough to make a difference. To register your interest please fill in and submit the form at the bottom of this article.
