Subsidised Desexing Programmes
Desexing your companion animal is an essential part of responsible animal care. It is necessary for maintaining their health, minimising antisocial behaviours and vital for reducing the shocking number of unwanted animals destroyed each year.
If you are experiencing financial difficulties, rather than postponing desexing, you can apply for subsidised desexing through one of the organisations listed below. Delaying this will result in injury, disease or pregnancy, and will ultimately cost you more money than simply desexing your pet.
Remember – female cats can become pregnant from 4 months of age, not 6 months as some vets still claim. It is a very common, safe and highly recommended procedure to have your kitten desexed from 8 weeks of age, and all of the organisations listed below offer this service.
