Adoption Information
CatRescue NSW is caring for many gorgeous cats and kittens rescued from council pounds, where they were awaiting euthanasia. These animals are all very special, beautiful, affectionate and in desperate need of a home and family of their own.

CatRescue does not operate a shelter, but instead relies on a network of trained foster carers. This is of enormous benefit to people wishing to adopt, as our rescued cats have been living in a home environment, are litter trained and often socialised with children and other animals. Not being kept in a shelter means that our cats are in good health, well adjusted and have had the opportunity to recover from the trauma of abandonment and being in a pound.
Our foster care program also has the benefit of quarantine and is the best way to ensure that the animal that you adopt has not been recently introduced to any possible sickness or diseases that may be present in other cats who have come more recently from council pounds or unknown environments. Adopting directly from foster care is the best guarantee you can have for adopting a healthy animal.
All our cats are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated prior to being rehomed. The adoption fee is $100 and assists us in making our life saving work sustainable, enabling us to continue rescuing.
