Cats Urgently Needing Homes

Adult cats almost always have a harder time finding homes than kittens. Sometimes an adult cat will be in care for many months before they attract interest from the public, and we have even had adult cats with us for longer than a year. But this is no fault of their own – we are yet to meet a cat who is not deserving of a second chance.

Adult cats are much less demanding than kittens to rescue and care for, and so if we have lots of kittens they become our immediate priority and adults can sometimes end up being overlooked. This can also happen during really busy times or when rehoming is very slow.

Our ‘long term’ carers always provide these cats with a safe, secure and happy environment while they are responsible for them. Each cat is made to feel welcome and a part of the family. But it is never quite the same as being adopted, and it’s almost as if the cats are aware that the situation is only temporary. This makes it difficult for them to fully relax and form long term bonds.

This page is devoted to promoting our adult cats who have been in care longer than most. They are all gorgeous and hoping to start their new lives in a home with someone who will love them.
